Palm Centro problem?????

I have had a palm centro for about a month and just today it started acting up. When i press the red power/sleep on, it wont go to sleep. The screen stays lit up as if i never hit it. & sometimes it doesnt give me some of my text meessages then randomly i get about 5 rapid fire texts.
