The man is without hope because of a hardened heart. A professor of the faith only, his agony was because he did not take his relationship with Jesus seriously. There are many professing Christians who do not have the Spirit of God in them. Their end will be "Depart from me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels." Matt. 25:41." I hope and pray I am not one of them.
