Can a panic attack from weed kill me?

I am 16 and overweight to say the least. This Friday I plan on smoking a little bit of weed with a good friend of mine. It's been a while since I've smoked because the last time through me into a sever panic attack. I had smoked a whole bunch of potent weed, and then it all kicked in at once and scared the living **** out of me. For a moment, I thought it was laced with speed or something, and I ran to my mom to call an ambulance. The thing that really scared me was my heart rate. It was so very, very fast... When the paramedics got there, they hooked me up to an EKG immediately, because I told them my heart was beating too fast. They didn't seem worried at all, in fact, when I asked them for a beta-blocker they told me that I could slow it down by just calming down a bit, which I did. My BPM got up to around 200BPM for a bit, and I felt a fluttery feeling in my left chest area. I've had panic attacks before, but never to that extent. I know that marijuana hasn't ever killed anyone, but DAMMIT I was so afraid. My main question is, can a heart rate around 200BPM kill you, even if it's just like that for a short time? And how long would it take to actually hurt you? I have no heart defects, and I can drink caffeine, exercise, and do anything that anyone else can with no problems. If this happens to me again, could it really kill me?
