My infants lab results?

we have an apt. on the 23rd with a pediatric endocrinologist. just waiting and worrying in the meantime. so i was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what they could say is going on. my son had a random glucose reading of 157. so they wanted to do lab work on him. his fasting glucose was in the low 30's which they said was wayy too low. and his peptide test came back showing low pancreatic function. his father is type 1 diabetic. any information you have can help. if it was diabetes, would he still have a LOW reading? thanks again.
